At Nansloe Academy, we want all children to love maths and to see themselves as mathematicians. Each lesson, we want them to approach their learning with curiosity, optimism and a positive attitude which enables them to achieve their fullest. Maths lessons at Nansloe are inclusive, varied and promote the development of an all-important ‘can do’ attitude which will benefit the children throughout their lives. Maths lessons are aspirational and enable all children to feel challenged in their learning. They experience problem solving and reasoning in every lesson but feel supported by our wider focus of developing fluency with number facts and accuracy with strategies. Following their experiences of maths at Nansloe, we hope that the children will have a life-long love of maths.
