Art Intent Statement 

At Nansloe Academy we aim to deliver a high-quality curriculum where children are encouraged to communicate what they see, feel and think using colour, texture, form and pattern.  Art provides a child with visual, tactile and sensory experiences and gives us an opportunity to respond and understand the world in a different way.  Children will have a broad introduction to art and design by exploring ideas and meaning through the work of diverse artists. Being curious and asking questions with increasing confidence allows the children to discover the impact of art on different cultures throughout history.  Additionally, children will have the opportunity to develop their observational skills by using the unique and diverse landscape that Cornwall has to offer.
